Sharon Jane Stewart   

     We write this memorial with much love and respect for our dear sweet mom and friend, Sharon Jane Stewart. 

     She was born November 8, 1944 in Ohio.  Her family moved to Litchfield Park, AZ during her early childhood.  Mom has fond memories of her school days.  She graduated Agua Fria High School in 1962 and was a beautiful homecoming queen. 

     She married and had three children.  As a single mother, she moved with her children to Lubbock in 1972.  She was an extraordinary and devoted mother, supporting her family by selling Avon.  She was an Avon representative for 32 years.

      After raising her children, she was blessed with four wonderful grandchildren, who were the joys of her life.

     She was preceded in death by her beloved brother, Timmy Mitten, and father, Homer Mitten.

     Sharie is survived by her mother, Jane L. Mitten and sister, Bonnie Miller of Arizona;   her children, Shawn Stewart and wife, J’Lin, Dr. Holly Stewart, Heather McKee and husband, Mark, all of Lubbock.  She is also survived by her darling grandchildren Reagan and Riley Stewart, and Haleigh and Megan McKee, who will miss their “Maga” dearly.  We will all miss Mom immensely, but are at peace knowing she will be free of pain and with God in Heaven.

     Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 2, 2008 at Southcrest Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry K. Hatfield officiating.  Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.

     A visitation will be Sunday evening from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

     In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her name to the American Diabetes Association.
