Jeremy Coats

Jeremiah “Jeremy” Lee Coats 19, of Lubbock, went home to be with Jesus,
January 5, 2009. Jeremy was born, June 28, 1989 to Harold & Naomi Coats.
Jeremy’s greatest passion in life was to serve God. He had just
recently become an usher at Temple Baptist where he attended church. He
would proudly profess his love to God by singing loud and beautiful each
Sunday. Jeremy, always had a twinkle in those beautiful blue eyes of
his, and you could always see a little mischief in his smile. He
attended Roosevelt High School and graduated in May of 2008.
Preceding Jeremy in death are his paternal grandparents, George and Ann
Coats.
Jeremy is survived by his parents, his sister, Ashley of Lubbock, 2
nephews, Jermiah and Isaiah, maternal grandparents Russell Lucht & Lois
Gillis of Janesville Wisconsin, maternal great grandmother Marie Gordon
of San Antonio, Texas, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
One
of the things that Jeremy loved to do with his dad was go to the races,
watch wrestling and he loved his movies. Jeremy and his mom shared a
special bond in going to the movies. They would have date nights and
see the movie of Jeremy’s choice. Another great love of Jeremy’s was
baseball. He played on the Challenger Baseball League every year until
he turned 18 years old.
Funeral services will be at Temple Baptist Church, 5413 38th
Street, Lubbock Texas on Friday, January 9, 2009 at 3:00 PM. The family
will receive friends at Sanders Funeral Home from 6:00 to 7:30 on
Thursday, January 8th.
Jeremy you were that spark in everyone’s heart. Your love shined
through in your smile, your hugs and your endless kisses. Even though
our hearts are breaking we are so happy that you are in Heaven with
Nanny and Pappa and we look forward to the day that we can be reunited
with you again.
