Maxine Gouldy
Services for Maxine Gouldy, 79,
of Lubbock will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 9, 2010 in Sanders
Memorial Chapel with the Reverend Bruce Cotton officiating. Interment
will follow at the Abernathy Cemetery.
Mrs. Gouldy passed
away on February 6, 2010.
Maxine was born on
July 12, 1930 in Abernathy, Texas to Lamar and Lucille McKenzie. She
attended Texas Tech University and West Texas State College, moving to
Lubbock in 1958. Maxine was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star
#877. She was involved in farming and agriculture and also operated the
Circus Inn Hotel.
Family members
include a brother, Don Lamar McKenzie and wife, Janice; nephew, Gary
McKenzie; nephew, Jimmy McKenzie and wife, Jana; niece, Vicky McKenzie;
great nieces, Ashleigh McKenzie Fergerson and husband, Michael Fergerson;
Jordan McKenzie; great nephews, Tanner McKenzie and Jace McKenzie,
great-great-nephew, Shane Fergerson, all of Lubbock.
The family will
receive friends from 6:00-7:00 p.m., Monday at Sanders Funeral Home.
