Ellen Larue
Haney, 88, of Lubbock, formerly of Snyder, passed away, February 21,
2010. She was born October 30, 1921 in Cross Plains, TX of the late
Edmon and Edna McCowen.
Mrs. Haney married
Dr. Gerald Haney on September 6, 1942 in Victoria, TX.
Survivors include
her husband of 67 years; sons, Wally Haney, Jr. of Lubbock, and Bryan
Haney and wife, Deb of Dothan, Alabama; daughters, Patti Haney of
Austin, TX; and Ellen Nevitt and husband, Howard of Seattle, Washington;
eight grandchildren; one sister; and three brothers. She is preceded in
death by two sisters and three brothers.
Graveside services
will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at Hillside Memorial
Gardens in Snyder, TX. Larue’s brother, Glenn McCowen will be
officiating.
Arrangements are
under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home, Lubbock, TX.
