Henry Lee Seagraves

Henry Lee
Seagraves, 53, of Lubbock went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday,
February 9, 2010, after a long battle with cancer. He was born in
Amarillo, Texas on September 4, 1956 and grew up in Lubbock. He
graduated from Lubbock High School in May, 1975. Henry served in the
United States Air Force for two years and received an Honorable
Discharge. He married the love of his life, Rebecca Williams, on June
6, 1978. Henry’s family was his main priority in life. His favorite
way to spend time with family was having large BBQ’s at his house. He
never wanted anyone to leave. He was a loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys,
loved watching NASCAR and had a passion for Harley-Davidson
motorcycles. He was employed at Tyco Fire & Building Products for 30
years as a Senior Maintenance Technician.
Henry was preceded
in death by his grandparents; and a brother, Melvin Douglas Seagraves.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca; a daughter and son-in-law, Brandi
and Brad Vaughn; a son, Alex; a daughter, Emily; his parents, Earl &
Viola Seagraves; a sister, Brenda Sorrells and spouse Brian all of
Lubbock; a sister, June Wilson and spouse Rusty of Beeville, Texas; a
sister, Linda Moffett of Bacliff, Texas; seven nephews; and five nieces.
He was a beloved
husband, father, son, and brother. He was loved by many and will be
missed by all who knew him.
Services will be
held on Monday, February 15, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the New Horizon
Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park under
the direction of Sanders Funeral Home. The family will receive friends
at the funeral home on Sunday from 4:00-6:00 p.m.
