Leon Trotter  

     Leon (Buck) Trotter, 79, of Lubbock, passed away Feb. 12, 2010. He was born April 4, 1930 in Wilcox, AZ to Ferd and Geneva Walker Trotter.

   Leon graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1948. He married Claudia Huskey in 1953 in Lubbock, TX. In 1963, he married Jane Graham in Clovis, NM.

   Leon was employed by Sodexo for the past 18 years and was a grounds keeper for Coronado High School.

   Survivors include his children, Danny Joe Trotter and wife, Connie of Anton, Timothy Trotter of Lubbock, Tammy Trotter Chancellor and husband Terry of Lubbock, and Amanda Trotter Vineyard and husband, Dustin of Melrose, NM; grandchildren, Mathew and Bradley Trotter of Pine Creek, TX, Bryan Trotter of Norfolk, VA, Riley Paige Trotter of Lubbock, Dustin Trotter of Dekalb, TX, Courtney Chancellor of Lubbock, and Kaylee and Candice Vineyard of Melrose, NM. He is also survived by a brother, Billy Trotter and wife, Nancy of Hale Center; a sister, Patsy Trotter Mimms and husband, Jack of Frisco, TX; and a brother-in-law, James Ward and wife, Billie Jo of Lubbock.

   Leon is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Mary Sue Trotter and Claudette Ward.

   Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Sanders Memorial Chapel with Reverend James Aldridge officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.
