Poggin was a very dear and kind person who always had a smile and warm words for me and Kathleen. I am very sad that she has left us but, in my heart, I know that she is now in a place where every day is full of sunshine and roses.
Not long ago Poggin told us of her happy memories of growing up and playing with her sisters who nicknamed her Poggin after the gun fighter in the Zane Grey novel. As I recall she was apparently quite a good shot with a rubber-band gun, a trait that landed her with the name.
We will certainly miss her and I hope that very soon the sadness of her lose will be replaced with the happy memories of her life.
I want to express our deepest sympathies for your loss. Mary your mom was a really special person.
Love David and Kathleen Gilliam

Mary: Poggin was always such a delight to be around when we had a party. Her little snicker smile always made me wonder what she was thinking but you always knew she was having fun. I will miss her at the partys. Her last few months were really tough and she fought a good battle but she now can rest. My deepest sympathys go to you and the family and you will be in my thoughts.
