Brenda Bishop
Brenda
Gay Bishop passed from this life into the arms of her heavenly Father
Friday July 9th 2010. Brenda was born July 8, 1946 in San
Angelo Texas. She moved from San Angelo in 7th grade to
Odessa, Texas, where she attended Bowie Jr. High and then graduated from

to be on the Ed Sullivan show. Determined to finish college, Brenda
moved to Lubbock, Texas and graduated from Texas Tech University with
her Bachelors degree in education. She taught in elementary schools
around the Lubbock area for numerous years. She substituted at various
schools in Lubbock after her health prevented her from teaching
fulltime.
Brenda had a sense
of humor that was contagious to all who knew her and was able to laugh
at herself as well as make other people laugh with her. She will be
greatly missed by all those who know and love her.
She is survived by

York, NY; stepdaughter, Jana Woods of County Line Lubbock; stepson,

The family would
like to thank all the people at Sunset Church of Christ for all their
love and care the last few years that Brenda was sick, due to her many
