Kathleen Harris  

    Services for Kathleen Green Harris, 93, of Lubbock will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 3, 2010 in Calvary Baptist Church, Lubbock, TX, with Dr. Richard Rush officiating.  Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.  Arrangements are under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.

    Mrs. Harris passed away on March 1, 2010.

    Kathleen was born February 16, 1917 in Van Zandt Co., Texas, to Luther and Murta Lee (Mullin) Green.  She moved to Lubbock as a small child and graduated from Lubbock High School in 1936.  Kathleen married Glenn G. Harris January 5, 1936 in Lubbock.   They moved to California in 1941 when Glenn worked in the shipyards during World War II.  Kathleen and Glenn lived in Richardson, Texas, from 1967 until 1981, when she returned to Lubbock.  Kathleen worked in school food service for 20 years and was a Supervisor in the Richardson School System until her retirement.  She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church; she enjoyed gardening and quilting.

       Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on April 7, 1985; one brother, Dick Green; three sisters, Iris Kinard, Connie Alred and Mary Lee Wells.

    Loved ones include her children, Glenda Kay Rawls and husband, Robert (Bobby); Dale Harris and wife, Julie of Lubbock, TX; and Don Harris and wife Sue, of Mansfield, TX; eight grandchildren, Kathy Rawls, Randy Rawls, Richard Harris, Robert Harris, Jake Harris, Shelby Harris, Lindsay Harris and Zach Lawless; two great Grandchildren; Madison Rawls and Morgan Rawls.

  The family will be receiving friends from 6-7: p.m., Tuesday at Sanders Funeral Home.
