Ava Lois Taylor  

   Ava Taylor, 85, passed away March 3, 2010 at her home. She was born April 1, 1924 to the late Duffield and Winnie Willson. She married Raymond A. Taylor on January 2, 1943 in Lubbock. He preceded her in death in March 2000.

   Ava was a dedicated wife, mother and a homemaker. She was a lifetime member of Calvary Baptist Church.

   She is survived by daughters, Charlotte Greever of Lubbock, Carla Rogers and husband Ron of Fredricksburg, TX, and Cindy Wallace and husband, Dewayne of Lubbock; sisters, Katherine Harvey of Lubbock, and Sue Waters of Brownfield, TX; brother, D.A. Willson, Jr. of Lubbock; nine grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Joel, Woodrow, Glenn, Merlin and Kenneth Willson, and a sister Irene Stanton.

  Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Resthaven Memorial Park. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.

   Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m.
