Jennifer Chisum

Jennifer Lauren Chisum, born on June 12, 1985, in Fremont, California, and most recently a resident of Lubbock, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2025, at the age of 39. Jenny is preceded in death by her grandparents, Lester and Jonnie Chisum, Robert and Werdna Rowse, and Sharon Toole, niece Kylee Forrest, stepfather Don Megliola, and uncles Charles Rowse and Dusty Benson. Jenny is survived by her parents, her father Michael and stepmother Christine Chisum, mother Brenda Megliola, twin brother Justin Chisum, and younger brother Jordan Chisum and step siblings Taylor Moroney and Don Megliola. Also by her precious aunts and uncles, Darla Benson, Sandra Bennet, Candy Hosch, and Jill and Richard Johnson. She is survived by the following cousins who loved her dearly. Scott and Theresa White, Jason Hosch, Eric Hosch, Stephen and Karen Johnson, Lauren Johnson, Blake Benson, and Amber and Jeremy Yancey, and many very good friends who made her life complete. Jenny's life was full of kindness and compassion for others, with a zest for living that touched everyone who knew her. She was a friend to so many throughout her life. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with minors in Chemistry and English from Texas Woman's University. She later earned a Doctorate in Pharmacy from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. Jenny began her professional pharmacy career at Walgreens in Amarillo where she lived and worked for seven years, making many great friends. Eventually, she transitioned to United Supermarkets in Lubbock, where she was serving the local community in the store pharmacy at the time of her passing. Loved ones remember Jenny as a friend to all, always extending kindness, understanding, and support. She found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was sharing laughs with her family, treating her mother, Brenda to pedicures and arts and crafts, or enjoying memorable outings with her father, Mike and stepmother Christine. She cherished moments spent with her brothers, Justin and Jordan, and delighted in the company of friends, whether out exploring or enjoying heart-to-heart conversations. Jenny had a passion for great food, and she loved cooking and experiencing culinary delights at the best restaurants, locally and while traveling. She was always eager to share a meal with her friends and loved ones. Her most cherished companion was her rescue dog, Pig, whom she adored and doted upon. In celebration of her life, friends and family will gather for a memorial service at Southcrest Baptist Church on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Jenny will be remembered not just for her professional accomplishments, but for the remarkable kindness she shared, her unwavering compassion, and the joy she brought to the lives of everyone she met. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she loved and those who loved her.
