It is with heavy hearts yet fond memories that we announce the passing of Jimmy Roy Vasquez Jr., affectionately known to family as "Juice," who left us on April 21, 2026. Born on October 21, 1970, in Lubbock, TX, Jimmy lit up the world with his vibrant personality and infectious laughter. He was a cherished son, devoted father, and a friend to many, embodying the spirit of hard work, selflessness, and humor throughout his life. Jimmy was a proud construction worker, known for his ethic and his ability to make everyone around him feel seen and valued. He was the life of every gathering, radiating warmth and joy that brought people together. A true people person, Jimmy had a special gift for connecting with others, whether at the local flea market or cheerfully cheering on his beloved Dallas Cowboys. As a father, Jim was always seen pouring all his love into his son, Ethan Vasquez. He nurtured a bond that will forever be treasured, filled with laughter and the joy of shared experiences. He also leaves behind sisters Rachel Hernandez and Christina Pena, and a brother Richard Pena, all of whom will carry his spirit in their hearts. Jimmy was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Lesley Vasquez, and cherished mother, Virginia Pena. In his leisure time, Jimmy found solace in watching his favorite show, Three's Company. He adored spending weekends surrounded by family, engaging in games of washers, where he never hesitated to bet on his skills with a playful grin. His love for life was further enriched by his faith, as he found comfort in attending church and sharing moments of connection with his community. To honor Jimmy's life and legacy, a memorial service will be held at Sanders Memorial Chapel on May 12, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to gather in celebration of the wonderful life he lived. As we remember Jimmy, let us celebrate the joy he brought into our lives. May his laughter echo in our hearts and his spirit inspire us to live fully and love fiercely, just as he did.
