Linda Gayle Brown

Linda Brown, 77, of Lubbock, Texas passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on October 30, 2023. Linda was born May 2, 1946 in Truth Or Consequences, NM to Paul Fewell and Majorie Biesel. Linda was the oldest of 7 children in her family. She often times was the caretaker of all and was affectionately referred to as "Polly". She graduated from Monterey High School in 1964. That same year she met the love of her life Lloyd while riding the drag in Lubbock, Texas around the Hi-D-Ho restaurant, a popular place amongst the teens. They married on December 31, 1964. They began raising a family in Lubbock, Texas with the birth of their son Paul, then followed Wendy, Stephanie, and Jaime. Linda was a devoted homemaker for the family while Lloyd served on the Lubbock Police Department. She was a seamstress, a dedicated PTA mom, and small business owner making handmade crafts for her business, "Aunt Polly's Prim & Precious". She loved everyone so well. She was a member of Westwood Evangelism Center for many years serving in several capacities and was a powerful prayer warrior for the Kingdom of God. By far, her greatest joy and accomplishment in life came with the birth of her two precious grandchildren, Jeron and Jailyn Robinson. She spent the majority of her days becoming their greatest fan and cheerleader until the day she drew her last breath. She will forever be the the greatest Meme to so many on this earth. Loved ones left to cherish her memory are her daughter Stephanie Cates & husband Mike; daughter Jaime Robinson; grandchildren Jeron and Jailyn Robinson; sisters Paula Waldie, Debbie Strickland & husband Mike, Ruby Brunelle & husband Phil, and Tracy Goodrich & husband Mike; brother Phil Fewell & wife Andrea; as well as many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. Her beloved dog "Winnie" was her confidante and loyal friend caring for her in her last days. Linda is preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Brown, Jr., son Paul Brown, daughter Wendy Brown, father Paul Fewell, mother Majorie Biesel, and sister Jonaphine Fewell. What a joyous reunion! Memorials are suggested to Dusty Puddles & Dachsund Rescue of Lubbock. Family visitation will be at Sanders Funeral Home Thursday, November 02, 2023, 6:00 pm to 8:00 PM. A graveside service to celebrate her life will be 10:00 AM Friday, November 3, 2023 in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park with Pastor Steve Shaw officiating.
