Marjorie Mae Myers

Marjorie Mae (Miller) Myers, 87, of Lubbock went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 24, 2016. Visitation will be at Sanders Funeral Home Friday, February 26, 2016, 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 10:30 am at Green Lawn Church of Christ in Lubbock. Interment will be at 2:30 pm in Dreamland Cemetery in Canyon, Texas. Arrangements are under the personal care of Sanders Funeral Home of Lubbock. Marjorie was born on March 17, 1928, in Seagraves, Texas to Ernest Miller, Sr. and Neva Clounch Miller. She graduated from Plainview High School in 1946. She married Wiley (Jackie) Myers in 1947. She worked at the offices of Furr's Incorporated as a PBX Operator and receptionist, then during retirement worked at the Lubbock County Jury Lot. She loved gardening and sitting on her patio watching the birds. She enjoyed playing the piano and accordion. When she was young she and her brother Ernie Miller, Jr. played with a band on a weekly radio show in Plainview. She had a knack for being a good cook. Her Thanksgiving dinners and Christmas candy will be missed She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Ernest Miller, Jr. and daughter, Shelley Lynn Myers Jordan. Loving family include: a son, Steven Myers and wife Kelly of Houston; four daughters, Jinna Brownlees and husband Victor of Channel Island; Ruanna Gossett of Sacramento, California, Jamie McCann and husband Ronnie of Golden, Colorado, and Donna Merrick of Lubbock. Grandchildren: Stefanie Woodbury and husband Russ; Clint Myers and wife Ellen; Adam Myers; Heather Jordan; Courtney Huntsman and husband Sean; LeiLani Wade; Aaron Wade; Alexander Brownlees; Trevor Gossett; Samantha Littlefield and husband Jay; Taylor (Tex) Gossett; Ashley McCann-Hermis and husband Brian; Alan McCann and wife Nickie; Rikki Raines and husband James; Lance Rampy and wife Abie. Great Grandchildren: Katherine Woodbury, Owen and Sam Myers; Zoei Huntsman, Kate and Evelyn Wade; Hana McCann-Hermis; Alister McCann; and Lillian Rampy.
