Monica Clara Macha

Monica Macha, 88, passed away peacefully with family by her side March 3, 2024. Visitation will be held at 5:00 p.m. followed by the Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m., Friday, March 8, 2024 in Sanders Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial Service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 9, 2024 at San Ramon Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park. A webcast of services will be available. Monica was born December 1, 1935 in Littlefield, TX to Laurence and Clara Albus. She graduated from Pep High School and attended Texas Tech University before completing her certification in cosmetology. Monica married Felix Macha on February 5, 1957 in Pep, Texas. They raised six children and were happily married for 63 years prior to his passing. She was a homemaker and working wife of a farmer in Lubbock most of her life and was a member of San Ramon Catholic Church. Loved ones include children: Tim Macha and wife Shelley, Mark Macha and wife Laura, Cindy White and husband Eddie, Jim Ed Macha and wife Becky; Steven Macha and wife Karen and Mary Ann Marnell and husband Doug; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Felix Macha. Monica loved and devoted her life to her family and church. She was a talented seamstress, quilter, gardener, painter, do it yourselfer, crafter and a master in the kitchen. She had deep love and devotion for the Lord and it showed as she served in every role and position at her home parish. Her grandchildren always sought her advice and prayers as they believed she had a 'direct-line to God'. She was funny and had lots of 'Mom jokes'. She was Jesus hands and feet on this earth and she will be missed by all that knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to San Ramon Catholic Church of Woodrow or Hospice of Lubbock.
