Robby Robison

'Robby' Newton Joslin Robison III was born February 3, 1961 to Myra and Newt Robison in Lubbock, Texas. He died at his home, February 23, 2024, after a recent cancer diagnosis, surrounded by close friends. Robby enjoyed a wonderful childhood with many lifelong friends. He was an excellent student and athlete. He graduated from Monterey High School in 1979 where he wrote for the school newspaper and golfed for the Plainsmen. While attending TCU, he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon and worked at Bennigans. After his graduation in 1983, he returned to Lubbock where he owned and operated Brittain Promotional Products until his death. His customers would say he stopped by for a visit and left with an order. Robby was a devoted son to his parents. They had a great relationship and enjoyed time spent together. He was a great friend to many. Robby enjoyed annual golf trips, poker trips and a Wednesday breakfast club with friends. He was a daily crossword, Wordle and Connections puzzle-player and a champion-level trivia player. He was an avid reader and had an amazing memory. Robby had a keen intellect and dry sense of humor. He entertained his friends with many memes and stories. Robby was always available to catch up with friends over a meal and beer or just a beer. Robby was baptized and a member of Lubbockview Christian Church. He faithfully served on the Marian Moss Enterprises board for many years including serving as President and most recently as Treasurer. Robby is survived by many dear friends. Robby is also survived by his Uncle Tom Reyman, cousin Becky (James) Slagle of Amarillo, her daughters, Shelley (Kenneth) King, Melissa (Marcus) Clay and their children Kristen and Kortlan, Rebekah (Tyson) Jones and their children Joselyn and Jameson and many cousins in the southeastern United States. Donations may be made in his memory to Marian Moss Enterprises, 4001 MLK Blvd, Lubbock, TX 79404 or Hospice of Lubbock, 3702 21st St., Lubbock, TX 79410. Visitation will be Thursday, March 7, 5:00-6:30 pm at Sanders Funeral Home, 1420 Main St., Lubbock, TX. Burial will take place Friday, March 8, 10:00am at Resthaven Memorial Park, 5740 19th St. Lubbock, TX. A Celebration of Life, Friday, March 8, 1:30-3:00pm, Hillcrest Country Club, 4011 N Boston Ave, Lubbock, TX.
