Vicky Elizabeth Dugger

On Sunday, May 30, 2021, Vicky Lee Dugger passed away at the age of 63. Vicky was born May 8, 1958 in Lubbock to Jack and Letha Lee. She attended Cooper High School and received her G.E.D. in 1984. She attended American Commercial College and South Plains College. At South Plains she earned her Commercial Driver's License. Vicky worked various jobs before finding fulfillment in management at a local convenience store. From there she went on to work in the Bakery at Furr's grocery store. After Furr's, she worked at Lowe's Home Improvement as a nursery specialist manager. She was a hard worker that did everything she could to please her customers and her employers. Vicky married Edward Dugger on November 21, 1986. They made their home in Wolfforth, TX for many years. Then they moved to Quitman, TX in 2001. After moving to Quitman Vicky and Ed drove an 18-wheeler as a team, seeing the country together. They were married for 23 years until his death in 2009. Vicky loved to travel, loved the lake, and working in her yard. She had a green thumb and even received an award for the best yard from her HOA in Quitman. She loved having her grandchildren visit her at the lake in Quitman. They would spend the summer boating and swimming. Vicky was a bit of a metal-head. She loved listening to Ozzy Osbourne and was lucky enough to get to see him live in concert. She enjoyed reading and had a love for Stephen King novels. Her love of scary novels carried over to her love of Halloween. She loved all the major holidays, especially Christmas. Vicky had a passion for animals, but most notably for her Dachshunds. She was generous, with a big heart, and would do anything to help her family or friends. Vicky was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Letha Lee, and her husband Ed. She is survived by her sisters Janet Nicholas and husband Nic of Wichita Falls, TX, Pam Dumas and husband George of Lubbock, TX, Judy Coor and husband Terry of Lubbock, TX and Linda Cork and husband Billy of Lubbock, TX. Her Brother Glen Lee and wife Rosanne of Idalou, TX. Her son Brandon Shultz and wife Melanie of Wolfforth, TX. Daughters Letha Stiles and husband John of Arlington, TX, Mary Watson of Lubbock, TX, and Michelle Hill and husband Miles of Amarillo, TX. 10 grandchildren, Tyler and Nolan Shultz; Aeryn Cassidy Stiles; Nichole Shultz, Brigett and Jonathen Watson; Nicolas, Eliana, and Amelia Knevelbaard, and Zelda Hill. and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a visitation from 5:00 PM -6:30 PM on Monday, June 7, 2021 at Sanders Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 8 2021, in Sanders Memorial Chapel.
