Edward Lara Bosquez Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Edward Lara Bosquez, 70, of San Antonio, Texas passed away June 7, 2022. Edward was born August 21, 1951 in Bryan, TX to Elutherio Bosquez and Ramona Bosquez. Edward Bosquez was a man blessed with many friends. He truly enjoyed calling and talking to his buddies and family. He loved his two sons and always wanted them to be happy. Edward Bosquez grew up in an era that inspired love of God, family and America. He served in the United States Army and 10 years in Texas Army National Guard. He worked for 19 years on Reese Air Force Base. He moved from Lubbock to Austin and worked at Motorola and other tech companies. He was a very sweet and personable guy, and because of that he never had to look far for employment. He loved to work where he could meet and talk to people; a stranger would become a friend....he would always say, "I got a buddy." Family knew Edward as the "Name Giver," e.g., "Sleepy Joe" and "Little Linda," just to name a few. When he wasn't busy working in the yard or doing handywork around the house, he loved to repeatedly watch The Andy Griffith Show, Leave it to Beaver, and Sanford and Son. Edward had a love of music and sports. He once was a "roadie" that would help set up and travel with a band. Some of his favorite bands were, Little Joe, The Beetles, and The Rolling Stones. Eddie was a die- hard Dallas Cowboy and Aggie Fan that would rarely miss a game. He developed his faith and acceptance of Jesus Christ and knew upon his passing he would once again be with his Lord and Savior and family that are now deceased. Beloved survivors include son, Michael Bosquez of Dallas; son, Kevin Bosquez of Austin; sister, Mary Martinez; sister, Adele Suarez; brother, Raymond Bosquez; sister, Dora Casanova; sister, Alice Morin; brother, Chris Bosquez; sister, Ann Gutierrez and brother, David Bosquez. Preceded in death by Elutherio Bosquez (Father), Ramona Bosquez (Mother), Luther Bosquez, Jr. (Brother), Linda Cordero (Sister). A celebration of his life will be 10:00 AM Saturday, June 11, 2022 in Sanders Memorial Chapel with Deacon Michael Kenny officiating.
