September 17, 1928 - November 8, 2020
Family will set up time and date for services at a future date. Please celebrate the life of Geraldine by visiting www.sandersfuneralhome.com. Geraldine was born September 17, 1928 (Five minutes following her twin sister, Nadine) in Lubbock, TX to John Wesley Randolph and wife, Augusta Gertrude Randolph. She went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, November 8, 2020. “The Twins” graduated in the Class of ‘46 from Frenship High School, Wolfforth, Texas, where they were cheerleaders together throughout high school. They both, along with their younger brother, Joe, attended the Dunagan Studio of Music in Lubbock for several years where they learned to play the acoustic guitar, and Joe played steel guitar, as well. They traveled together with the Studio to national competitions. “The Twins” grew up singing together and enjoyed doing so all throughout their lives. While attending the Dunagan Studio of Music, Geraldine met an instructor and accomplished guitarist from Oklahoma, Stanley Charles Dunagan. They became engaged and married August 24, 1947 at Central Baptist, Lubbock. On March 19, 1949 God blessed them with their only child, a daughter they named Linda Marie. Geraldine lived her entire life in Lubbock...65 years in the same house! Geraldine was preceded in death by her spouse, Stanley Charles Dunagan, her parents, John Wesley “Wes” Randolph and Augusta “Gussie” Gertrude Randolph and her brother, Joe Glenn Randolph. She is survived by her twin sister, Nadine and husband, Herman Brumbelow of Stephenville, TX; her daughter, Linda and husband, Jerry Petty of Leonard, TX; step daughter, Tiffany Williams and step son, Dell Williams, both of Knoxville, TN and step daughter, Melanie Orth of Grapevine, TX; two grandchildren, Jeff Petty & wife, Kristin of McKinney and Julie Hart and husband, Bryan of Indian Trail, NC; three step grandchildren, Isaiah Jordan and Elijah Jacob Francisco and Kortney Dawn Williams, all of Knoxville, TN; and six great grandchildren, Kierstin Nicole Hart, Kamryn Noelle Hart, Kylie Marie Hart and Kenzie Grace Hart, all of Indian Trail, NC and Jace Westin Petty and Colt Ryan Petty, both of McKinney, TX. Geraldine was a strong, independent beautiful lady who loved the Lord, her family and her friends with all of her heart! She was always there willing to help any of those who needed her! She loved spending time with family and loved DQ, coffee & dessert, dominoes and “farkle” with her friends! She will be greatly missed, but she was so looking forward to meeting her Savior face to face! So as we celebrate her life here on earth, we also rejoice in her “Homegoing”, and we look forward to being with her again someday!
