Graveside services for Helen Pearl Childs, 90, of Lubbock will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends from 7:00-8:30 p.m., Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Sanders Funeral Home. Helen Pearl passed away on January 20, 2022. She was born August 3, 1931 in Lubbock, Texas to Jessie James Bishop and Helen Elizabeth Johnson Bishop. She married Edward Childs on December 22, 1957 at Reese Air Force Base in Lubbock. He preceded her in death on April 8, 2006. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Toby and seven sisters, Thelma, Tressie, Jessie, Lillian, Isabella, Gladys and Evelyn; step son, John Childs Loved ones include her daughter, Karen Childs; grandsons, Ryan Burns and Michael Wilkinson; sons, Donnie Watson, Will Watson; step-sons, Steve Childs and Ronnie Childs. Helen Pearl was a beloved mother and wife; a good Christian lady; she will be missed!
