Raymond "Ray" Joseph Edwards, age 28, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2022 in Lubbock, Texas. Ray was born on July 26, 1993 in Thermopolis, Wyoming to Robert "Bob" and Susan (Weese) Edwards. Ray attended Nottingham Country Elementary, Memorial Parkway Jr. High School and Katy Taylor High School which he graduated in 2012. Ray attended Austin Community College for one year before transferring to Texas Tech University where he earned a Sport Management Degree in 2017. Ray was an avid Texas Tech sports fan. Ray's favorite things were family, spectating all sports, cooking and barbecuing, video gaming with friends, and fishing. When not participating in hobbies, Ray operated RayRae Designs where he produced sports apparel. Additionally, he authored the posts of The Big12Country Texas Tech's Twitter page. Ray is survived by his wife, Brooklyn (Duke) Edwards, beloved pets, Moana (cat) and Maui (dog), of Lubbock Texas; parents Bob and Susan Edwards of Kingwood, Texas; one sister, Rebecca and husband Shawn Johnson, two nieces Hailey and Brooklyn and one nephew Eli of Casper, Wyoming. Grandmothers Delores (Dee Dee) Weese and Janet Edwards of Kingwood, Texas; in-laws Mark and Shelee Duke of Allen, Texas; brother-in-law, Brady Duke of College Station, Texas, and host of other family including aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family and friends. In lieu of flower, memorial contributions may be made to the Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) Association. Services will be held Saturday March 19, 2022 at Sanders Funeral Home, 1420 Main St Lubbock, Texas 79401. For those unable to attend, there will be a live stream available on their website.
