Sam was a great man! I had the pleasure of doing business with him for many years. Always treated me as a friend and I never saw him in a bad mood. I am praying for him and his family, he will be missed!

On behalf of the Gonzalez Family, may God give you the serenity and all His Graces to be at His side in Heaven. I used to see Coach Mayo at the post office every now and then. He never forgot my name nor my brothers. He would always say hello and call me by my name. He was always courteous and friendly. To me, he was always and respectfully, "Hello Coach". Thank for making me a part of your life beginning from the early 60's till now. I believe that Heaven now has a fantastic Coach to oversee the under-achievers, kind of like me. Ha ha ha. May God bless you and your family forever and always. "RIP" Joe Gonzalez/Class of '69 and Orelia Gonzalez/Class of '72 So long Coach! See you out on the field, "The Fields of Heaven..."

Please accept our family's deepest regret on the loss of Sam. He was always so warm and welcoming to each of us. A true gentleman, who loved his family and loved footballfootball He will be missed.
