Thomas Lynn Martin Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Thomas Lynn Martin, 79, of Lubbock, Texas passed away December 10, 2021. Thomas was born July 18, 1942 in Lubbock, TX to Louis Martin and Marjorie Martin. He graduated from Monterrey High School. Tom served the Army from April 13, 1967 to April 12, 1973. He was a Specialist Five E5-1st Battalion 2d Infantry. National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Medical Badge, Bronze Star Medal, and was a Purple Heart Recipient. Tom met the love of his life, Lydia while at work. They enjoyed family,friends, and hosting parties. He enjoyed telling jokes and fishing. He raised several children including foster children. He enjoyed coaching the kids and grandkids in sports on the field for baseball and from the stands for all others. He had a heart of gold that was felt by so many and loved to hug all his great grandkids. Survived by spouse Lydia Martin, Brother Gary Martin, Sons Thomas Martin(Elizabeth) and Steven Martin, Daughters Elvida Wilkes(James), Lidia Martin, Brigette Chock(Steven), and Samantha Campos, Grandsons Ian Wilkes(Christina), Alexander Martin, James Martin, JJ Rangel, Taylor Martin(Megan), Granddaughters Alaina Garica(Ricardo), Kobee Rangel, Gabrielle Martin, Beth Lynn Martin, Great Grandkids Cade and Clara Wilkes, Luna and Lincoln Garcia, Ethan and Aaralyn Campos, Linus, Simon, and Milo Chock, Maverick Martin and Valerie Martin Preceded in death by Louis Martin (Father), Marjorie Martin (Mother), Quinn Martin (Son), DeWayne Martin (Son), Christie Martin (Daughter), And Santiago Rangel (Son). There will be a rosary at 7:00 PM on Friday, December 17, 2021 in Sanders Memorial Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at City of Lubbock Cemetery.
