A celebration of the life of Virginia Fry, 72, of Lubbock, Texas will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 3, 2021 in Highland Baptist Church with Pastor Adam Purdue officiating. Please celebrate the life of Virginia by visiting www.sandersfuneralhome.com. Virginia passed away July 29, 2021 surrounded her by loved ones in her home. Virginia was born December 28, 1948 in Lubbock, TX to James Bucklin Hanks and Rebecca Elisabeth Hanks. She spent her entire life helping people, being a mom and opening her home to many throughout the years. She enjoyed fishing, baking, listening to music, road trips, dancing, playing cards, and spending time with those she loved. When she wasn't spending time with her grandchildren, she was probably watching a Hallmark movie. Within the last two years she found a church home in Highland Baptist Church, where she grew in her faith. She beat lung cancer and was a fighter until the end. She had made an impact on many lives and will be greatly missed. Loved ones include husband Arnold Fry of Lubbock; Daughter Lissa Studer (Jeff Studer) of Leander; Son James Harvey (Jennifer Harvey) of Lubbock; Son Terry Harvey (Susan Harvey) of Lubbock; Step son Jason & Gerri Fry of Post. Grandchildren; Kelly & Heather Wilborn, Trish & Steven Sales, Morgan & Michael Tucker, Paul Michael Harvey, Lexus Harvey, Maranda Harvey, Elizabeth Studer, Miranda Fry, Jaycob Fry, and Dylan Fry. Great Grandchildren; Jacobi Younglas, Carleigh Tucker, Allison Wilborn, Connor Tucker, Cayden Tucker, Jenson Wilborn, and sixteen nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by Father James Hanks; Mother R.E. Hanks; Sister Lavonne Banks; Brother Dwayne (Cotton) Hanks; and Sister Shirley Harrison.
