Wanda Smith

Wanda Smith, 82, of Lubbock, Texas passed away April 17, 2022. Wanda was born January 8, 1940, in Sayre, OK to O.W Green and Nora Green. Wanda grew up in Sunray, TX and she graduated in 1958 from Sunray High School. Wanda and her family lived in Amarillo where she worked as a secretary, and she also met the love of her life Steve Smith. Wanda and Steve got married January 1, 1974. The family then moved to Lubbock, TX that same year. She loved the Lord, and she was a mighty prayer warrior. Wanda loved her family and spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids. She will be greatly missed by those that she loved and those that loved her. Loved ones include daughter Teresa Box (Mike) of Lubbock, TX, son Craig Smith (Kendra) of Lubbock, TX, Also survived by her sister, Diana Debord and her husband Ray Debord, and sister, Louella Bowen, 10 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her loving husband Steve R Smith, daughter Sherri Childers Allen, father O.W Green, mother Nora Green, sister Joyce Green Campbell, and brother Bill Green. Visitation will be at Sanders Funeral Home Friday, April 22, 2022, 7:00 to 9:00 PM. A celebration of her life will be 2:00 PM Saturday, April 23, 2022, in Sanders Memorial Chapel with Ray DeBord officiating.
