A celebration of the life of Wesley “Delman” Hilton, 82, of Lubbock, Texas will be 2:00p.m., Thursday, December 31, 2020 in Sanders Memorial Chapel. Graveside services will follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park. Viewing will be come and go from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Sanders Funeral Home. A webcast of services will be available as well as our online guest book. Delman passed away December 25, 2020. He was born January 17, 1938 in Lubbock, TX to Arval and LaFern Hilton. He graduated from Monterey High School in 1956. Delman married Joyce Cox on July 28, 1962 in Cone, Texas. He served in the U.S. Navy from August 12, 1957 until August 3, 1961. Delman was a Sergeant for the Lubbock County Sherriff’s Department in the Court Division. He was a member of First Baptist Church-Lubbock. Loved ones include daughter Kristie Griffin; son Kevin Hilton (Michelle); grandchildren, Caleb Griffin (Sarah), Bethany Griffin, Caitlyn Hilton and Kynleigh Hilton; great grandchildren, Emery and Benaiah Griffin. Preceded in death by Joyce Hilton (Spouse), Arval Hilton (Father), LaFern Hilton (Mother), Twanna King (Sister) Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Lubbock. Delman always had a joke to make others laugh. He found great joy in singing in his church choir or with family and friends. He loved to spend time in the mountains with Joyce hunting and fishing. He gained the best Christmas gift on Christmas day as he was reunited with his wife, Joyce, and family in the gates of Heaven.
