William Henry Hodges

January 17, 1958 - July 5, 2021

William (Bill) Henry Hodges. Bill was born January 17, 1958 in Dallas, Texas. He was called to Heaven on July 5, 2021 at his home in Lubbock. He graduated from Monterey High School and studied computer science in college. Bill was an intelligent man who showed his literary skills while playing Scrabble and always enjoyed a competitive game of chess. He was a man of great wit that loved to carry conversation and always had good jokes to tell. Bill loved to play pranks on his nephews and had a very hearty laugh. He was one of the hardest workers anyone could ever meet. He was a Jack of all trades and was a master carpenter and painter. Bill loved Harleys and was very skilled in custom metal work and paint. Bill is preceded in death by his mother and father Elizabeth and Arthur Hodges, brother Andrew Hodges, sisters Pamela Hodges, and Somer Gawlikowski, and nephew David Rhue. He is survived by a son and Daughter-in-law, Luke and Barbee Cunningham of Lubbock, TX, three grandchildren, Judah, Shiloh, and Asher. Sister Ann Knight of San Antonio, brother Jeff Hodges of Addison, sister Margaret Rhue of Wichita, KS, and a niece and nephews Michael, Katy, Drew, Dan, Kazmar, James). The family suggests memorials to the American Lung Association. A memorial service will be at 1:00PM, July 27, 2021 in Sanders Memorial Chapel.
