Dennis Delano Middleton

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dennis Delano Middleton, who left this world peacefully on May 31, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on January 15, 1960, in Brownfield, Texas, Dennis lived a life dedicated to family, community, and the joys of sports. A proud graduate of Seagraves High School in 1978, Dennis was known for his exceptional athletic talent. As a member of the Seagraves Eagles, he competed with vigor for the State Championship and formed lifelong friendships that enriched his life. His passion for sports remained with him throughout his life, as he transitioned from a talented athlete to a devoted coach, sharing his love of the game with the youth in his community. He was also an avid spectator, cheering on his favorite teams and enjoying the camaraderie that sports brought to his life. Dennis enjoyed a remarkable 38-year career in the oil industry, beginning his journey as a derrick hand on the rigs and ultimately rising to the position of Work Over Completion Specialist. Known for his exceptional work ethic, he took pride in all aspects of his job and built lasting friendships with his coworkers along the way. After retiring in 2016, Dennis cherished the time spent with his family, instilling the values of hard work and integrity in his children. Dennis's warmth and charisma made him a beloved figure among family and friends. He was a true people person who cherished time spent with loved ones. Above all, he held a special place in his heart for his wife, Jackie Middleton, and his children, Sheila Hinson (Neil), Trish Pacheco (Aaron), Bryce Middleton (Stephanie) and Drew Middleton (Kaitlin); grandchildren, Aaron, Jocelyn, Daron, Lexie, Aubrey, Brody, Mason, Margaux, Monroe; five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. His legacy will live on through their cherished memories and the love he fostered within the family. Also survived by sister, Kelli Durham and brother, Scott Middleton. The family invites all who knew and loved Dennis to join them in honoring his memory. A visitation will be held on June 5, 2025, from 6:30-8:00 pm, allowing for cherished memories to be shared. A funeral service celebrating Dennis's life will be held on June 6, 2025, at 2:00 pm in the Sanders Memorial Chapel. He will be laid to rest at the City of Lubbock Cemetery.
