Helen Jenece Bray

Helen Jenece Bray, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and friend, was born on June 29, 1929, in Lubbock, Texas. She passed away peacefully on March 1, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving behind a rich legacy of love, faith, and service. Helen lived a life filled with purpose and devotion. Married to the love of her life Kenneth Bray on October 19, 1945, in Lubbock, she embraced her role as a homemaker with grace and dedication. Her family, including her cherished children, Beverly A. Farrar(Lubbock), Kenneth Michael Bray (New Mexico), Brenda H. Bray (San Angelo), her sister JoAnn Mote (Levelland) and her brother Don Scott (deceased) not only found her a guiding light but an unwavering source of support. Helen loved her grandchildren Chad Farrar (Dallas), Kerrie Scates (Edmond, OK), Tara Stone (Texarkana), Ashley Lehrer (San Angelo), Stephen Harris (Austin), Jeff Harris (San Angelo), Haley Bray (Dallas), Kenna Bray, and Brandy Bray with all her heart. Great Grandchildren Brooke Talley and Carley Scates (Edmond OK), Isla Lehrer (San Angelo), Maggie Harris (Austin), James Stone, Caleb Stone, Leah Stone, Cody Stone, Evan Stone (Texarkana) Great Greats are Benjamin Stone & Matthew Stone (Texarkana) As a member of Greenlawn Church of Christ and a charter member of Northside Church of Christ, Helen's faith was the cornerstone of her life. For over forty years, she lovingly created visual aids and taught Bible classes, sharing the joy of scripture and the message of love with countless individuals. Her impact on the community and the deep connections she made through her teaching will be felt for generations to come. Helen's family will gather to celebrate her remarkable life in a heartfelt ceremony, honoring her memory and the love she gave so freely. Funeral services will take place on March 6, 2025, at Sander's Funeral Home (1420 Main ST, Lubbock, TX) , where all who knew and loved Helen are invited to share stories and reminisce about her extraordinary legacy. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in a burial ceremony at Resthaven, a final tribute to a life well-lived. Visitation will be from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on March 5, 2025. As we remember Helen, we celebrate her unwavering spirit, her endearing laughter, her thankful heart and her deep love for her family and faith.
