Kelly Jan Bell

Kelly Jan Bell, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and teacher went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 18th, 2026. Kelly was born on May 31st, 1960, in Littlefield, Tx, to Pat and Patricia Moberley (née Pointer). She grew up in Spade, Texas, and graduated from Spade High School in 1978. All her life she loved animals and cared for many beloved pets through the years. One of her passions in her youth was riding horses, at one point dreaming of becoming a horse jockey. At age 11 she professed faith in the Lord Jesus and was baptized. From a young age, Kelly excelled at playing the piano and other instruments. She used her musical gifts in the service of God by playing for multiple churches and by teaching her beloved students who shared her passion for music. A defining characteristic of Kelly was her generosity, as she embodied what it means to be a cheerful giver. Through her talents, faith, and love she touched countless lives. Her favorite thing to do was spending time with her family and friends. She loved cheering on her loved ones at every competition, recital, and event in which they participated. She was always honored to play piano for her students' recitals and delighted to celebrate their accomplishments. Most of all, Kelly loved her Savior, the Lord Jesus. Trusting in Him, Kelly has now entered into glory with all the other saints who have gone before her. She now lives in the immediate presence of the Lord Jesus Christ, where her faith has become sight, and her joy has become full. She is preceded in death by her parents Pat and Patricia Moberly. She is survived by her husband Danny Bell; her children, Brad and his wife Michal Bell; Blake and his wife Marhsa Bell; and Paige and her husband Jim Culp; her grandchildren, Griffin Culp, Ellis Culp, Savannah Bell, Emily Bell, David Bell, and John Bell; her brother, Guy Moberley; and numerous extended family and friends who brought her endless joy. She loved all of her family, friends, and students, dearly. A celebration of life is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 24th, 2026, at Sanders Funeral Home in Lubbock, Texas, followed by a graveside service at the City of Lubbock Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, it would have warmed Kelly's heart for memorial donations to be made to Kat's Alley Cats in Lubbock, Texas, a nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing cat overpopulation through Trap-Neuter-Return programs, rescuing and caring for cats, and helping them find loving homes.
