Lisa Lea Masters

Lisa Lea Masters, 59, of Lubbock, passed away on May 16, 2026, leaving behind a family who loved her deeply and countless memories that will forever be treasured. Born on March 13, 1967, in Friona, Texas to Bobby Fulks and Marilyn Fulks Watson, Lisa was a fiery soul who loved her children, her grandbabies, her family, and of course, her cokes. Raised in Friona, she graduated from Friona High School in 1986, where she naturally graduated early because she never did anything on anyone else's schedule. She furthered her education at West Texas State College, where she met Michael Masters, her former husband, who brought her the biggest joys of her life through her two children. Being called Mom and then GiGi were the biggest loves of her life until the end. Lisa's life was centered around the people she loved most. She was a doting mother, a proud grandmother, and a loyal friend whose warmth and kindness made others feel at home in her presence. Her grandbabies were truly the light of her life and her greatest joy. Nothing brought her more happiness than hearing their laughter, sharing time with them, and watching them grow. Lisa dedicated much of her professional life to serving others, first as a legal secretary for most of her career and later as a customer service representative in the retail industry, where her kindness and patience made a lasting impact on her colleagues and customers alike. She was preceded in death by her adored mother, Marilyn Fulks Watson of Friona, and her father, Bobby Fulks of Clovis, New Mexico, whom she loved dearly. Left to cherish her memory and carry on her legacy are her children, Jesse Masters and Heather Brillon of Cotton Center, and Morgan and Jacob Houk of Lubbock. She also leaves behind the grandchildren she loved beyond measure: LJ and Cole Masters of Cotton Center, Mason and Caleb Houk of Lubbock, and one precious granddaughter she will never get to meet, expected on August 19, 2026. Also left to miss her dearly include her sister, Lori Ray, and husband, Bart Ray, of Lubbock; her niece, Kelly Shipp, of Lubbock; her nephew, Kyle Shipp, of Belen, New Mexico; and finally, her beloved step-mom, Bobbie Fulks, of Edmond, Oklahoma. Lisa will be remembered for her loving heart, her strength and intense stubbornness, her laughter, and the way she lit up the room with her spunky attitude and spirit. Though her passing leaves an emptiness that can never truly be filled, her love will remain in the hearts of those who knew her forever. "Grief, I've learned, is really just love. Grief is just love with no place to go." - James Anderson A memorial service will be held in her honor on May 23, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Sanders Memorial Chapel. It will provide an opportunity for family and friends to gather, share memories, and reflect on the laughter and love that Lisa brought into their lives. As we celebrate Lisa's life, we invite all who knew her to join us in honoring her memory, cherishing the moments we shared, and finding comfort in one another during this difficult time. She will be deeply missed, yet her spirit will live on in the hearts of all she touched.
