Minnie H. Ramirez Minnie H. Ramirez, 88, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Minnie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard, with whom she shared 64 years of marriage; her son, Jerry Ramirez; her parents, Pasquel and Martha Hernandez; her brother, Placido Hernandez; her nephew, Lewis Garibay, who was more like a little brother to her; and her son-in-law, Adam Acebedo. She is survived by her children, Sammy (Glenda), Debbie (Ruben), Henry, Stella (Sam), Amy (Joe), and Laurie; her grandchildren, Stefanie, Jerry, Samantha, Amanda, Josh, and Megan; and her great-grandchildren, Katrina, Julian, Kaeli, Kelsea, Ava'Marie, Elena, and Ayra. Mom was the heart of our home and our family. She raised seven children in a happy, loving home and taught them to be independent, hardworking, and caring individuals. Beyond raising her own children, she also helped raise three of her grandchildren, Jerry, Amanda, and Megan, giving them the same love, guidance, and care she had always given her family. Mom was known for always being in the kitchen, gathering her seven children around the table and calling them in to share a family meal. Her kitchen was a place of love, comfort, and family. She loved being outdoors, spending time working in her yard and caring for the things she loved. She also enjoyed camping and spending time at the lake, making memories with her family and appreciating the peace and beauty of the outdoors. Mom cherished reminiscing about the old days-her childhood, the years when we were all kids, and the many memories that shaped our family. She loved sharing those stories and looking back on the special moments that brought us all together and made our family what it is today. The holidays were among her favorite times of the year. She loved decorating the home, filling the kitchen with delicious food, and, most of all, bringing the family together. The cooking, celebrating, laughter, and time spent surrounded by the people she loved were some of her happiest moments. Mom also enjoyed the simple pleasures of everyday life. She loved watching her daytime soap operas and settling in during the evenings to watch her favorite telenovelas. These familiar routines brought her comfort and joy. Mom will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, our dad. In keeping with her wishes, her services will be private and limited to immediate family members. We will honor her life and memories quietly, surrounded by those who loved her most. The family would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Calvert Home Health and Hospice-Cindy, Pastor Henry, Patty, Becky, and Miranda-as well as Dr. Jason Bradley, Dr. Robert Gaines, and Dr. Tapan Nath. We are deeply grateful for the care, compassion, and kindness they provided to Mom and for the meaningful impact they had on her well-being. Mom was the heart of our family, and her love will remain with us always. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
