Patricia Dayton

Patricia Janette Dayton passed away peacefully on the morning of January 15, 2025 in a group home in Plano, Texas where she was being loved and cared for under Hospice for cancer. Trish, as most know her, was born July 3rd, 1955 to Riley and Marion Wooten in Lubbock, Texas. She was the first born and is survived by her two younger brothers, Mike and Steve Wooten. She spent most of her early life in the Lubbock area and graduated from Monterey High School in 1973. Her first big move was to Las Vegas for a few years in 1990, moved back to Lubbock while working for her father Riles at Flite Line Products in 1994, then moved to the Dallas area which is where she spent the rest of her years, eventually residing in Mesquite, TX for her last two and a half years. She is survived by her four children, eight grandchildren, and two great grandchildren; her son Richard Stringer of Las Vegas, NV from her first marriage in 1973 to Eddie Stringer, her son Justin Pillans of Rowlett, TX and Tasha Pillans of Ponder, TX from her second marriage in 1980 to Ronnie Pillans, and her son Zacharia Dayton from her third and final marriage in 1985 to Randy Dayton; grandsons Braylon (27) and Rane Stringer (26) from Richard, Cole Pillans (21) from Justin, Landon Pillans (18) from Tasha, granddaughters Aniston (17) and Ava Pillans (12) from Justin, Jaycee (14) and Bavia Pillans (6) from Tasha; great grandson August Stringer (9) and great granddaughter Mavis Stringer (2) both from Braylon. Trish was known for her love, laughter, smile and slight Texas accent. Even though she had to deal with a lot of adversity in her life, she battled hard, raising her kids as best as she could, often as a single mother. She loved making chicken fried steak and fried okra. She had lifelong friends from Lubbock and couldn't turn away a person she felt was in need with her kind heart. She enjoyed crafting and creating small projects around the house when she could. A memorial service will take place at Sanders Funeral Home on Saturday January 25th at 10 AM followed by a burial service at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park, Lubbock.
